You had me at "keyboard shortcuts"

Any application wanting my patronage needs keyboard shortcuts. Life is too short, and my mouse too far away, to require pointing and clicking. That's why I love mutt (and patterns are awesome). Everything is done with the keyboard. There is no extraneous GUI getting in the way. Google Reader won me over the first time I hit "?"

Of course I understand that many don't share my infatuation with the keyboard. I don't often put keyboard shortcuts in my applications because customers want to use the mouse. Fortunately, this snazzy keyboard (similar to an UltraNav keyboard that I've used for years) provides a great mouse right between the G and H keys on the keyboard. So I'm never more than half an inch from the mouse when I have to use it.
